Alison Goodwin
Alison is a woman who is passionate about what God HAS DONE and CAN DO in a woman’s life! She has homeschooled all three of her children over the last 17 years, with her last currently a junior. God has allowed Alison to minister within the homeschool community in multiple areas of leadership, and is a former director of Christian Fellowship Homeschool Co-op (www.cfhco-op.com). Having come from a very broken home herself and having experienced the pain of abuse, she is a champion and cheerleader for the woman who just doesn’t feel equipped to “Be The Mom.” She loves to share her own stories of personal inadequacy & failure, and of God’s ultimate equipping! She recently went to work for Mardel Corporate as a Product Coordinator, and loves to help women through her decorating business, ReAlicate with Ali.
“Be the Mom, No MATTER Your Circumstances”
We all know how it’s SUPPOSED to be: Dad, the final authority and disciplinarian—Mom, the supportive and encouraging help-meet. Wellll…that doesn’t always quite describe our REALITY! Moms, we can find ourselves having to be the final authority in our homes for a myriad of reasons: your husband may travel extensively due to work or the armed services, you may be widowed or divorced, or you may be married to someone who prefers YOU be the one to keep the children “in order.” Regardless, it is a fact that (especially) as a homeschooling mom, you must be able to guide/train with confidence, BELIEVING that your role is God-given! Come hear about a few moms from Scripture (and today!) who took their role seriously and trained their children to do the same! Whether we feel worthy or equipped, God wants to provide what our children need through US!
